Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience is critical to the overall Heaven Hill marketing strategy. This property allows us to create lasting impressions with the consumers. The General Manager is a key and lead staff member, responsible for helping us increase consumer opportunities, define hospitality goals, and oversee day to day operations as well as staffing. This position will be responsible for the overall management of the Heaven Hill Bourbon Experience

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Oversees the visitor center programs, developing innovative guest experiences that are true to Heaven Hill brands, while ensuring the experiences are memorable for each guest.
  • Manages the workflow for all visitor center activities and events.
  • Collaborate with Director, Visitor Experiences to develop an annual plan that will coincide with annual brand planning timelines and financial budgets.
  • Direct, lead and manage direct reports from a strategic perspective, not just day to day operational management.
  • Prepare weekly reports for Director to showcase each category of sales (retail, ticketing cocktails, etc.).
  • Monitor consumer feedback and react accordingly.
  • Plan and coordinate training activities.
  • Oversee operational budgeting and monitoring. Oversee plan revisions as needed, and participate in setting tour rates and the establishment of budget for the facility.
  • Collaborate with Five Brothers Bar & Kitchen team to ensure proper day to day operations.

Experience you will bring;

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Public Relations, Travel and Tourism, Hospitality or related field
  • Seven (7) years’ experience in the leadership, management, or operation of a visitor center or tourist attraction with strategic management experience and proven revenue generation
  • Degree in Marketing, Business Management or related field
  • Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Experience in a distilled spirits industry visitor center/gift shop
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
  • Sales and Marketing — Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
  • Economics and Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
  • Communicating with Persons outside the Organization — communicating with people outside the organization, representing the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources. This information can be exchanged in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, self-motivation, and an outstanding ability to sell
  • Ability to think creatively…developing, designing, or creating new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions
  • Analytical skills, in particular gathering data from a wide variety of sources, and presenting it in formats suitable for a wide variety of audiences
  • Excellent written communication skills including the ability to compose all communication such as social network posts, project reports, program recaps, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to effectively present information to senior management, public groups, etc.
