This is an onsite role based out of our Deep Eddy Vodka Production facility in Buda, TX.

What the Role Is

The Maintenance Supervisor position will be a hands on role that will supervise/coordinate the activities of maintenance mechanics and industrial maintenance technician apprentices’, as well as directly assists to complete repairs/trouble shooting.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel
  • Monitor employees’ work levels and review work performance
  • Monitors tool and part inventories and the condition and maintenance of shops to ensure adequate working conditions
  • Monitor stock inventory and issue purchase orders for all repairs, projects and stock room needs
  • Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings
  • Complete all monthly OSHA and EHS inspections on time
  • Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures
  • Gather and maintain apprenticeship records along with HR
  • Compile operational or personnel records, such as time and production records, inventory data, repair or maintenance statistics, or test results
  • Counsel employees about work-related issues and assist employees to correct job-skill deficiencies
  • Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installations, services, or repairs
  • Create shutdown project/PM schedule and ensure all parts are available for completion during outage dates
  • Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use
  • Hands on conducting regular maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
  • Troubleshoot and repair controls on production equipment in a timely manner
  • Provide electrical control support to production equipment and processes
  • Consult, develop, and train Industrial Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices’ in electrical and electronic applications including robotics, conduit and electrical wiring, control wiring, relay logic, ladder logic, motor controls, PLC troubleshooting, panel-view troubleshooting, OEM operator interface modules and AC/DC motor troubleshooting
  • Prioritize repair efforts to minimize impact on production downtime when faced with multiple equipment issues

Who You Are…

  • Associates Degree in technical field or equivalent related technical training
  • Five (5) years’ job-related experience in industrial maintenance or technical field
  • Three (3) years’ supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
  • Three (3) years' experience in Electrical, Electronics, Controls/Industrial Automation, Computer Programming, and/or System Maintenance
  • Advanced proficiency with PLC programming and troubleshooting applications
  • Experience with network setup and troubleshooting and virtual machine familiarity
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Mechanical knowledge – knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Mathematics – knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services
  • Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods
  • Ability to motivate, develop, and directing people as they work, identifying the best people for the job
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • High proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

Valued but not required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • Process Instrumentation
  • Previous experience in the distilled spirits industry

Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
