This is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (June-August). This role is an office / hybrid position, with the ideal candidate located in the Greater Louisville area.
What the Role Is
We are looking for an intern to join our Human Resources team. As an intern, you will provide support to a project focused on reviewing, updating and streamlining company policies and procedures, including the employee handbook. You will have exposure to confidential tasks that will drive efficiency, effectiveness, and customer service to the organization.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Conduct internal research to gather/account for company policies and procedures
- Document internal HR processes into an electronic format for ease of updating
- Assist in electronic filing of documents into a shared location
- Assist in creating project plan for updating employee handbook
- Collaborate across HR team to create and enhance HR onboarding practices
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resource Team to include preparation of various reports as requested and assistance with special projects
- Process and maintain all Human Resource information with strict security safeguards and uncompromised confidentiality
Who You Are…
- Currently pursuing or recent graduate with a degree in Human Resources or related field
- Advanced computer software skills including Microsoft Office Suite and Sharepoint
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and reports, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple and competing priorities and deadlines
Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
