This role is remote and will cover greater LA area & Central Coast.
What the Role Is
The Market Manager will be to lead, program and drive the company P&L in partnership with our distributor partner. This position will be responsible for continuing the growth trends in the territory through managing and influencing the distributor network to deliver on the day-to-day execution of the sales plan in both the On-premise and Off-premise accounts.
How You Will Spend Your Time?
- Lead in the implementation of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) in the territory.
- Execute and attain brand distribution goals thru effective distributor management.
- Ensure the local pricing strategies are executed while evaluating opportunities to capture future profit opportunities.
- Establishes common understanding of market goals, objectives, timeframes, deliverables, and expected level of performance with the distributor.
- Acts as a resource to create, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributor.
- Demonstrates clear knowledge of the Samson & Surrey portfolio and their respective categories.
- Drives the adoption of the Samson & Surrey execution commercial standards “Hitting our Mark”.
- Finds the most cost-effective ways or solutions to utilize the company resources.
- Analyze data and utilize insights to build action plans ongoing basis.
- Communicates concisely during distributor sales meetings.
- Tracks and reviews reporting of key KPI’s: depletions, distribution and Channel Standards.
Who You Are… (Requirements & Qualifications)
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading distributors in the spirits industry
- Build strategic plans to support portfolio long term growth
- Ability to lead the distributor network to deliver annual goals
- Understand the value chain economics: supplier – wholesaler – retailer to maximize profit and value.
- Command the attention of multiple levels of distributor management to insure proper time and attention to portfolio
- Comfort working on a high-performance fast-paced entrepreneurial team
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to influence and partner with customers as well as train and present to distributor teams
- Business computer proficiency including Excel, PowerPoint, Word

The salary range established for this position is $85,000-95,000. Actual starting pay may differ based on non-discriminatory factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, specialty, and education.
