This is a field position and the ideal candidate should live in the Austin, Texas area.

What the Role Is

The Field Marketing Manager, reporting directly to the South Regional Field Marketing Manager, will support the implementation and execution of strategic initiatives designed to bring the Deep Eddy Vodka brand to life through events, activations & programming. This role will work closely with the field sales teams within their region to create unique points of leverage – spearheading field marketing programs, managing day-to-day projects and measuring results.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Support Regional Field Marketing Manager and/or National Marketing Manager with event execution and the implementation of the 5 pillars of Field Marketing (Events / Activations, On Premise Marketing, Cell Team Integration, Mobile Marketing Programs & Opinion Leader Marketing)
  • Work closely with all members of the regional Field Sales teams to analyze the market, plan & execute together. Coordinating activation & brand presence while driving the development and implementation of our brand marketing programs
  • Manage local activation budget of roughly $150K and year-round schedule of events
  • Properly forecast individual events while maintaining detailed & accurate budgets
  • Responsible for the planning, setup / tear down, on-site & overall management of sponsored events – successfully implementing a 360-activation strategy wherever possible; supporting recurring event / programming opportunities. As well as vetting opportunities to present to Sales for their consideration & support
  • Mobile marketing program (Dive In Tour & Farm to Vodka Trucking) scheduling, oversight and execution
  • Responsible for the negotiation of sponsorship agreements and contracts
  • Build, maintain and activate an extensive network of relationships with influential Service Industry personnel, event producers, opinion leaders, etc
  • Responsible for the management and storage of company assets & event activation materials – as well as sample product and POS inventory; maintaining and servicing as needed

Who You Are…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline, may substitute equivalent years’ work-related experience for educational requirements
  • Three (3) plus years work related experience in a leadership role preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under constant pressure and manage multiple and competing priorities; prioritizing tasks to effectively meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management, organization and strategizing skills required as well as strong attention to detail and follow through
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills; extremely outgoing and gregarious personality
  • Superb work ethic & positive attitude; be willing to “roll up your sleeves” & step outside of our comfort zone.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and act as the face of the brand; ability to command an audience & interface directly with consumer groups of all size
  • Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:
  • Background in experiential marketing 
  • Event and sponsorship experience
  • Beverage / beverage alcohol experience
  • Strong knowledge of the culture and social climate in the target geography
  • Effective at networking, with established relationships and contacts in the Events and/or Service Industry / Hospitality scene
