This role is a paid internship that is part of Heaven Hill's Summer Internship Program (June-August). The role is an office / hybrid position, with the ideal candidate located in the Greater Louisville area.

What the Role Is (Description)

We are looking for an intern to join our Community Relations and Diversity team. Our team supports the company, brand teams, employees, and external partners by managing and executing Heaven Hill Brands’ community relations and philanthropy commitments and our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives.

As a summer intern, you will support general community relations and diversity work such as coordinating external engagement opportunities with community partners, maintaining stakeholder relationships in the communities we serve, and coordinating internal and external DEI initiatives.

How You Will Spend Your Time? (Responsibilities)

  • Assist in maintaining key community relations and nonprofit partnerships, including asset management, event coordination, and day-to-day communications
  • Maintenance of community relations accounts payable process to streamline payment, tracking and compliance
  • Support the management and implementation of key DEI initiatives under our 5 key pillars: Community Relations, Culture of Inclusivity, Talent Acquisition & Retention, DEI in Marketing & Sales, and Community Relations
  • Research and help develop efforts to institutionalize our DEI strategy in our internal and external stakeholder communities
  • Help develop creative communications methods to highlight and showcase DEI efforts and interests
  • Support additional community relations and diversity efforts, including public relations, stakeholder alignment, employee resource groups, and communications.

Who You Are… (Requirements & Qualifications)

  • Currently pursuing a Communications, Public Relations, Political Science or related degree
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks on deadline
  • Ability to interface in a professional manner with diverse groups
  • Desire and ability to work in a team environment
