What the Role Is

The Deep Eddy Vodka Tasting Room is a critical and unique element of the Deep Eddy brand marketing strategy, and this role is a key cornerstone in support of that element.  

The Deep Eddy Spirits Specialist will act as the face of Deep Eddy Vodka across mixology, production and brand education – possessing an understanding of the brand’s history as well as a spirit’s cocktail heritage, taste & composition.  As a subject matter expert with an expansive knowledge in spirits generally and vodka most specifically, this position will apply their genuine passion to share Deep Eddy Vodka’s unique place within both the industry and category – sharing the brand’s history while living the brand’s attitude.

The Deep Eddy Spirits Specialist will be responsible for entertaining & educating guests both coming in and out of the Tasting Room as well as outside the Tasting Room including external partners, vendors, wholesale customers, etc. Through this engagement, this role must also adhere to policies and regulations - creating one-of-a-kind experiences that grow brand awareness, but also create genuine, lasting connections with consumers. This individual will be responsible for sharing the brand’s passion for bringing people together for carefree good times – a charismatic leader that paves the way for the responsible enjoyment of Deep Eddy Vodka.

How You Will Spend Your Time?

  • Developing and maintaining complete knowledge of the Deep Eddy Brand story acting as historical archivist but also ensuring the story stays alive in a relevant way to today’s consumer
  • Developing bar offerings, such as cocktails, flights of Vodka and snacks, lead staff trainings on offerings and ensure an efficient work pace to maintain guest satisfaction
  • Collaborating and develop on-going relationship with Heaven Hill Brands National Spirits Specialist and Corporate Mixologist to ensure alignment and consistency in practices, program development and strategic cocktail utilization
  • Serving as a brand educator, working closely with the DEV marketing team to align messaging and talking points to current brand strategy
  • Providing an exceptional guest experience and connect with visitors through education and bar menu selections, maintaining a positive guest/customer relation
  • Leading tours of Buda Distillery Plant followed by the Tasting Room for Deep Eddy/Heaven Hill Brands corporate guests and partners
  • Maintaining highest health standards, sanitation and cleanliness in the beverage/bar area to meet local, state and government guidelines
  • Assisting as needed and available in Tasting Room (tending bar, etc.)
  • Establishing and maintain a good working relationship with distributor partners
  • Collaborating with the General Manager, Operations Manager, Sales & Marketing Manager and Brand Team in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of the plans for the Deep Eddy Tasting Room
  • Support processing and production of all products to be sold at the Tasting Room as needed

Who You Are…

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in the distilled spirits or mixology industry
  • Brand Ambassadorship and customer engagement experience preferred
  • Ability to create classic and innovative cocktails and menu offerings
  • Proven experience in bar menu item creation
  • Proven expertise speaking in front of small and large groups of people – both formal and informal
  • TABC Certified or willingness to attain TABC Certification within 90 days
