This is a part time position based out of the Deep Eddy Vodka Visitor Center.
Schedule: 1st shift, must also be available to work every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) Pay: $15.00/hour plus tips
What the Role Is (Description)
The Bartender for the Deep Eddy Vodka Visitor Center will provide an exceptional customer experience, ensuring the customer’s needs are met. Other responsibilities will include development of bar offerings and maintenance of a sanitary bar area.
How You Will Spend Your Time? (Responsibilities)
- Provide quality guest experience and connect with visitors through educations and bar menu selections.
- Maintain complete knowledge of all Deep Eddy Vodka products, most up to date mixology options, garnishes for drinks, all bar menu items, preparation method/time, ingredients, portion sizes, presentation and price.
- Develop bar offerings, such as cocktails, flights of Vodka and snacks.
- Maintain highest health standards, sanitation and cleanliness in the beverage/bar area to meet local, state and government guidelines.
- Ensure all policies, procedures and practices are within local code.
- Maintain positive guest/customer relations at all times.
- Maintain complete knowledge and strictly abide by state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving.
- Knowledge of product ordering protocol.
- Ensure bar is secure when not open for business.
Who You Are… (Requirements & Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of related experience
- Basic knowledge of computer systems and technology, including cash registers, point-of-sale systems, scanners, etc.
- TABC certified
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Proven experience in bar menu item creation
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to talk to others to convey information effectively
- Service Orientation – actively looking for ways to help people
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work in a team and be a self-starter
Valued but not Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous work experience in the distilled spirits industry.
- Familiarity with vodka knowledge and language.
- Previous work experience in a visitor center, tourist attraction or retail gift shop.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, time management, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
While performing duties of job, employee is frequently required to speak, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, and use of computer; reach with hands and arms. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
